Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh affirmed the determination to successfully organize the Games.

Prior to this, the Organizing Committee had selected a logo and mascot for the Games and held a Conference of Delegation Heads from the 10 participating countries in Da Nang City.

During the meeting, representatives from MOET, the Da Nang City People's Committee, and relevant ministries and departments reported on the preparations for the Games up to the present time and the tasks to be continued in order to ensure the conditions for the organization.
From now until the Games, the Organizing Committee will continue to upgrade and repair sports facilities to serve the Games. They will also prepare facilities and equipment for the competitions as well as accommodations and tourist attractions in Da Nang City to welcome delegations and visitors, contributing to the success of the Games.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi emphasized that this is a Games for students, so the purpose is not only competition but also exchange, strengthening friendship, and promoting Vietnam and Da Nang City. Therefore, the opening and closing ceremonies and other activities during the Games should emphasize the spirit of friendship and exchange.

In the exchange at the meeting, Minister of MOET Nguyen Kim Son noted that although the scale of the Southeast Asian Student Sports Games is not very large, its international nature reflects Vietnam's diplomatic policy with regional countries, making it an important event.

He thanked the Party Committee, the People's Committee of Da Nang City, and the relevant ministries and departments for their coordination and readiness to cooperate with MOET to organize the Games. He expressed his desire for continued cooperation and support to ensure the best organization of the Games.

Regarding immediate tasks, Minister Son advised the Organizing Committee to finalize detailed plans for each task to avoid being passive. The content of the opening and closing ceremonies should be simple, reflecting the welcoming spirit of Vietnam and Da Nang City and suitable for the youthful spirit of the students.

As for the training and organization of Vietnamese athletes, which is under the responsibility of the General Department of Sports (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Minister Son emphasized the importance of focusing on the spirit of movement, encouragement, and fostering the sports spirit of students, without overly stressing achievement, to avoid affecting their studies.

Currently, infrastructure and equipment have been upgraded and improved by Da Nang City. Minister Son hoped that the city would continue to promptly complete its preparations. Along with that is the preparation of logistical support, accommodations, sightseeing, mobilization of volunteer forces, arrangements for hotels, catering, healthcare, etc. All aspects and tasks have contingency plans in place.

Ensuring security and safety was identified as crucial. Therefore, Minister Son requested that units assigned tasks in the Organizing Committee under the Ministry of Public Security would coordinate with the Da Nang City Police to proactively and promptly implement this work to ensure the best security and safety for the event.

Chairman Le Trung Chinh stated that the city has actively implemented preparations and will continue to review each task, assigning specific responsibilities. "The city is ready with the utmost determination to ensure the successful organization of the Games," Chairman Le Trung Chinh affirmed.
